5. Kayla Starks



After being named one of Rapzilla's Freshman 15 for 2016 Kayla Starks wasted no time in proving why she belonged on that list. Starks started off the year by releasing her EP Outlasting Seasons.

Since she's followed up with a video for her single "Deep Blue See"

The emcee/singer followed that up with the release of her single "All I Need", solidifying her as a artist on the rise.
